Jason E. Andersen is a wildlife biologist in southwest Iowa, where he works to help people establish and manage native habitats. Jason previously worked as the Roadside Vegetation Manager for Mills County, where he created the county’s first Integrated Roadside Vegetation Management (IRVM) program. Before that, he worked as a Farm Bill Wildlife Biologist for the non-profit organization Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever, covering Harrison, Pottawattamie, and Shelby Counties.
In his off hours, Jason enjoys the outdoors and spends much of his time doing on-the-ground habitat work with a chainsaw or a drip torch, chasing butterflies, and looking at plants with his wife Michelle. He also serves as a volunteer firefighter and is a proud dog-dad of two pembroke welsh corgis.
