This coming weekend is Halloween, which may or may not be exciting for some of you. I have never been a huge fan of the holiday. Why would I buy candy and then give it to other people to eat? I prefer to leave my porch light off and keep it all to myself. Especially, the snack-sized Snickers.
Snickers. Amazing.
Bonus Fun Fact: If you go trick-or-treating on a night other than Halloween, that night is called Beggar’s Night. I heard a few people say this recently so I looked into it. Apparently, the dictionary definition is that it’s the name for an alternative night for Halloween, wherein kids go trick-or-treating. For example, if kid’s go trick-or-treating on the night before Halloween, then the night before Halloween is Beggar’s Night.
Bonus Bonus Fun Fact: The tradition of carving pumpkins is believed to have come from Ireland and original jack-o-lanterns likely weren’t pumpkins, but turnips and potatoes. This year, honor the history and carve up a turnip for Halloween!
