Bonus Fun Fact: There are more bacteria, fungus, and other microorganism cells in and on your body than your own cells. For the average, normal, regular person, there are roughly 30 trillion cells that compose their average, normal, regular body and approximately 39 trillion other little critters that live on the skin and in the nose, mouth, gut, and other places.

That’s not to say this is bad! In fact, we need these microorganisms to stay healthy. The human microbiota, as it’s called, helps with our digestion and also aids in fighting off other harmful microorganisms (and probably lots of other benefits, but I’m no doctor). They’re microfriends!
