Bonus Fun Fact: Sea otters regularly drink saltwater from the ocean. For most animals, this would be lethal, as drinking saltwater will cause you to lose more water than you consume, leading to all sorts of problems which eventually end in you no longer being alive. Sea otters don’t have this problem, as their kidneys are adapted to process the extra amount of salt. Also on the short list of saltwater-drinkers are dolphins, sea lions, and seals.
