Bonus fun fact: Did you know that Rambo (the blood-thirsty, special forces killing machine from 80’s film portrayed by Sylvester Stallone) was named after a variety of apple? The Rambo apple is a variety grown since the 17th century and was first cultivated by a Swedish settler named Peter Gunnarson Rambo. David Morrell, the author the Rambo books and movies, decided on the name while having a Rambo apple as a snack.
