Bonus fun fact: Because I think we need warmer thoughts, did you know that cactus are only native to the Americas? I learned this one watching Planet Earth II on Netflix. Cactus are only native to North and South America and don’t naturally occur in any other of the world’s deserts. There are some cactus that are found in the deserts of Africa, but it’s believed that they were brought over as seeds by migratory birds from South America. Everything else has been spread by humans.
Bonus bonus fun fact: Cacti, cactuses, and even cactus, are all acceptable as plural forms for cactus. How’s that for mildly interesting?
